Our Story

Flags at the high school
Vaughn International Studies Academy (VISA) began preparing students for college and the 21st century in 2005 with 40 students. VISA classes were housed at MIT until 2008 as we awaited for the final construction of our current campus. With the exception of the first class, VISA has maintained a graduation rate of over 90% each year and has been recognized as being in the top 2,000 high schools in the nation by US News and World report based on graduation rate, AP results and career tech pathways. VISA has been a member of the International Studies School Network (ISSN) since 2005 and is regarded as one of its most successful schools. VISA is also an Early College High School and has a partnership with Los Angeles Mission College.
